GrandPals
The GrandPals Program is a unique intergenerational initiative that connects generations through the power of storytelling. Grandpals keeps local stories and histories alive by passing them on to students in fun and creative ways, by securing a coordinator, volunteers and students from the community. Weekly sessions are held over the course of 8-12 weeks, and the stories are collected, shared and celebrated in expressive ways like art, books, and events. By the end of the sessions, the feedback and reflections from the students and volunteers help to grow the program to reach even more places and spread the local stories to more people. Grandpals helps keep the community alive by remembering the past and engaging young people in a way that they find fun and inspiring.

REAP
This project enhances the resilience of children and youth through film-making, in which students reflect on their pandemic experiences and make suggestions for post-pandemic recovery and the future of digital learning. Check out the website to learn more:

Digital Forest
This project partnered with the Centre to host three workshops, which developed children's ecological imaginations through folklore and outdoor play. Children learned about environmental stewardship, and engaged their imaginations through an augmented reality app, which merged folklore with technology.
TVN
In this upcoming project, the Centre will host two after-school art workshops with students from the MUN Childcare Centre, helping them to reflect on climate change, with the aim of increasing their personal voice and agency and educating local authorities and researchers about the experiences of young children and youth. These workshops will highlight the important voices of children.
