Dr. Anne Burke

Project Lead

Anne is a Professor in Literacy Education and Digital learning at Memorial University. An expert in sociocultural perspectives, she combats social justice issues through teacher education and pedagogical practices. She researches children’s rights, voice and agency; play-based learning; digital literacies; and more.

Dr. Jeanne Sinclair

Mentor

Jeanne is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education and former elementary bilingual teacher. Her areas of interest are language and literacy development (especially multilingualism) and assessment validity.

Dr. Mary Stordy

Mentor

Mary is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education. Her research and teaching focuses on primary/elementary mathematics education, STEM education, and teacher education.

Dr. Saiqa Azam

Mentor

Saiqa is an Associate Professor of science education at MUN. She studies science teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge; she is also interested in equity issues in science education, such as designing inclusive science education for diverse student populations.

Dr. Norma St. Croix

Mentor

Norma is a passionate educator who has over 30 years of experience as a consultant, program specialist, administrator, coach, and a teacher. Her areas of research are assessment-informed instruction, reading development, and teacher education.
